Jacob is living his best life: he's a successful business consultant for a large corporation, he's married to the love his life, Ella, and together they recently bought a new home in the sleepy Connecticut town of Darien. But in the quiet space of sleep, Jacob has been tormented since childhood by dark and terrifying entities that seem to serve one purpose: to torture him. Having struggled with Sleep Paralysis his whole life, Jacob has come to accept these dark entities as nothing more than manifestations of his imagination; until the manifestations begin to plague his waking life. Estranged from his religiously-fanatic mother and having witnessed his father's gruesome death as a child, Jacob has repressed the darkness of his past and vowed to live only in the present with Ella. But the entities have other plans and Jacob must uncover the horrific truth about his father that led to his mother's fanaticism if he hopes to overcome the attacks from these entities. His greatest fear, Sleep Paralysis, is also his portal into the darkness where nightmares and demonic entities lurk in quiet expectation of his arrival.
